HighPoint RocketRAID 4500 HBA€s were designed for professional Mac/PC workstation environments and deliver the stability and sustained performance required by 3D or 4K Media Applications. These PCIe x8 2.0 6Gb/s SAS/SATA 8-Channel RAID HBA€s support hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and JBOD configurations. LTO tape support is available for Mac OS X 10.9.2/10.8/10.6.8 and later. The RocketRAID 4522 features dual external Mni-SAS ports (SFF-8088). It€s dedicated RAID-on-Chip processor and 512MB of DDR3 cache memory offloads RAID processing from the host system, ensuring stable and high-performance data transfer. The low-profile form factor allows the HBA to be easily installed into a wide selection of server and workstation chassis. An optional Battery Backup Module adds additional layers of data protection in the case of critical system faults and hardware failures.
