This Hi-Tech Duravent C General Duty series duct hose is made with two plies of neoprene-coated polyester for resistance to chemicals, flame, and puncturing, and is suitable for material handling, vacuum and suction, and exhaust and ventilation applications that require flame resistance. The hose is reinforced with a wire helix for strength and resistance to crushing and meets Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standard UL94 V-0 for flame resistance. It has a temperature range of -40 to +250 degrees F (-40 to +121 degrees C) and can be used with a variety of coupling options (not included). This duct hose is suitable for ventilation or transferring a range of materials in foundries, ship yards, welding shops, and other industrial settings.

The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used.
