The Helix Bio Mechanical Filter is most distinguished by its inclusion of a feature that allows flushing out the filter through high and low bottom drains. This allows you to clean your filter with your own pond water, without getting dirty, and without disassembling the filter! On top of that, no more purchasing new filter pads each year! Ease of cleaning notwithstanding, the Bio Mechanical Filter is a great filter that reduces nitrates in your pond and has the capability of polishing your water as well. It is easy to install and its low profile allows it to hide in your existing landscape. Since it does not require a lid, it is ideal for outfitting with a faux stone or other aesthetic product. The Large Bio Mechanical Waterfall Filter is 32" in Diameter x 32" Tall. Made in America, this filter consists of a heavy-duty rotational-mold HDPE body and stainless steel hardware. It is intended for use with liner, ployurea or concrete construction and is excellent for all styles of ponds, as it handles flow rates up to 6000 gph and can be a stand-alone filter for ponds up to 3000-4000 gallons (Depending on fish load). It features a 24" waterfall weir opening, 2" bulkhead (With 2" male PVC pipe adaptor included), and an air manifold for air-assisted cleaning. Its upper drain allows for removal of surface scum while the lower drain allows for removal of heavy solids.
