A 16-Month Calendar, Paintings and Text by Adam Rhine

The ancient and enduring spirit of the Jewish tradition comes alive in the Hebrew Illuminations of artist Adam Rhine. Adam has created ornate, highly detailed Judaica paintings in watercolor and acrylic paints. His style is influenced by medieval illuminated manuscripts, which he combines with modern palettes and aesthetics. Each work is crafted to honor the infinite nobility of the Lord, and to visually bring forth His energy within different combinations of overlapping shapes, rich colors and intricate patterns.

This 16-month calendar includes national and Jewish holidays, weekly Torah portions and Sabbath candle lighting times for 24 major locations in the USA and three in Canada.

Written by the prophet Joshua after the fall of Jericho, the "Aleinu" prayer is said at the conclusion of all three daily services. It declares the sovereignty of the Lord, who is the Creator of all existence, and our responsibility to praise Him. It is always recited standing up as we declare our faith, our fear and our awe.
