EC-50 System with 1HP PowerFlo Matrix Pump cleans pools fast, removing particles as small as three microns at a rate of up to 3,000 gallons per hour. Hayward Perflex DE filters provide the deepest, most comprehensive clean, removing microscopic dust and pollen as small as three microns - 100 times smaller than a grain of salt. Plus, Perflex cleans without backwashing, saving hundreds of gallons of treated pool water. The filter is manufactured from only the most durable materials that are corrosion-proof and designed to withstand continuous operation. Recommended for pools 28-33 feet round and 18x36 feet to 18x39 feet oval pools. Exclusive bump handle activates the mechanism causing the Flex-Tubes to instantly and uniformly clean themselves of dirt and filter powder. The self-venting design automatically expels any air that may be present in the system while the proven, patented Flex-Tube filter elements efficiently reuse the filter powder and eliminate backwashing. Combination pressure gauge and threaded inspection-service port is easy to read and remove when filter needs cleaning. The integral check valve also prevents system backflow whenever pump is off. The PowerFlo Matrix pump features a 6 foot power cord and pump-to-filter union connectors for simple installation and winterization. Each system includes two 1.5 inch x 6 feet hoses, hose adapters and hose clamps.
