Haws 1047 Barrier-Free Wall Mounted Vibra-Cast Reinforced Concrete Drinking Fountain with Exposed Aggregate Finish
The Haws 1047 wall-mounted, barrier-free, aggregate-finish reinforced concrete drinking fountain provides front access for maintenance and is suitable for outdoor installation. Wall-mounted drinking fountains require less space than pedestal fountains or coolers, making them suitable for installation in compact spaces. The bowl is made of high-polished stainless steel for resistance to corrosion, and the wall bracket is made of aggregate-finish reinforced concrete for strength and resistance to corrosion. The wall bracket can be mounted to a steel in-wall universal mounting plate (sold separately). The fountain has a stainless-steel push-button valve assembly that allows for front-access adjustment of the water stream, replacement of the pressure regulator cartridge, and valve strainer maintenance. The shielded bubbler head is made of chrome-plated brass for resistance to corrosion and vandalism, and it provides an even laminar stream flow to reduce splashing. A concrete extension hood provides a partial enclosure to help protect the bubbler head from damage. The waste strainer can be cleaned without disassembling the fountain, and the 1-1/2" OD (outside diameter) chrome-plated brass trap is housed within the wall bracket to allow front access for servicing and to simplify installation. This wall-mounted drinking fountain complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) including child requirements and California Health and Safety Code 116875 (AB 1953-2006), and meets National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard 61 and the federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) regulations for lead-free waterways. It also has a Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Group certification.
This drinking fountain requires a water pressure between 30 and 90 pounds per square inch (psi) and a supply line size of 1/2" OD for operation. For complete drinking fountain dimensions, please refer to the manufacturer installation drawing.
Drinking fountains produce a stream of water for drinking and are usually in public places. They typically consist of a metal nozzle called a bubbler head that provides an even stream of drinking water, a metal bowl to collect and drain water, a stream control mechanism such as a push button, and a pedestal or wall-mounted support that holds these components at an accessible height. Drinking fountains that provide a refrigerated water stream are called water coolers. Public fountains are subject to federal regulations for accessibility by disabled persons and various government health standards.
Haws Corporation manufactures drinking fountains, electric water coolers, hydration stations, and emergency equipment. The company, founded in 1906 and is headquartered in Sparks, NV, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
