Hasegawa 1/48 F4U-4 Corsair
Detailed 1/48 scale model kit of the Chance Vought F4U Corsair, a single-seat carrier and land based fighter of the United States NAVY and Marine Corps. The F4U saw service in both World War II and the Korean War. The Corsair was a formidable fighter aircraft as it was both fast and maneuverable, thanks in large to its Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial (capable of speeds up to 400mph) and advanced aerodynamics. The F4U was universally feared by Japanese pilots, and by the end of World War II, the Corsair had accumulated an impressive 11:1 kill ratio in air-to-air engagements. This 1/48 scale model kit depicts the F4U-4 variant, which was the last Corsair variant produced in the Second World War, and the kit comes with marking for two different aircraft: VF-193 "Ghostriders", U.S. Navy and VMF-323 "Deathrattlers", U.S. Marine Corps. Model Length: 202mm, Model Width: 258mm; 49 pieces total.
