Hanna Instruments HI98127B pH/Temp Test Kit
The HI 98127B home beer pH and temperature test kit is a portable, waterproof pH and temperature meter with a replaceable electrode and automatic temperature compensation (ATC) featuring a stability function that indicates when the meter is ready to take a reading. It features a hold function to freeze the screen while results are recorded. The kit includes two 20 oz.-packets of 4.01 and 7.01 buffer solutions, and food-grade cleaning solution, and a case. This meter is designed for use in the beer and beverage making process, but can be used to measure pH for other applications.
The HI 98127B tester measures temperatures between -5.0 to 60.0 degrees C/23.0 to 140.0 degrees F (+ or - 0.5 degrees C / + or - 1 degrees F), and has a range of -2.0 to 16.0 pH (+ or - 0.1) with a resolution of 0.1 pH. Calibration is automatic, at one or two points with two sets of memorized buffers (pH 4.01/7.01/10.01 or pH 4.01/6.86/9.18). The meter weighs 100 g/3.5 oz. and measures 163 x 40 x 26 mm/6.4 x 1.6 x 1.0 inches (HWD). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.)
pH meters and testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in aquaculture, agricultural, wine-making and water-testing and for scientific applications.
