Hanna Instruments HI 96709 High Range Portable Manganese Photometer, 0.0 to 20.0 mg/L, 0.1 mg/L Resolution
The HI 96709 is an auto diagnostic portable microprocessor meter that measures the manganese content in water and wastewater. CAL CHECK function validates instrument performance. The meter is splash waterproof and the LED and filter units are protected from dust or dirt by a transparent cup, making it suitable for field applications. Messages on the LCD screen aid the user in routine operation and an auto-shut off feature turns the meter off automatically after 10 minutes of non use in measurement mode or after one hour if left in calibration mode. The device uses an exclusive positive-locking system to ensure cuvette is in the same place every time it is placed into the measurement cell and fits a cuvette with a larger neck, making it easier to add both sample and reagents.
Range is 0.0 to 20.0 mg/L + or €“ 0.2 mg/L + or €“ 3% of reading at 25 degrees C with a resolution of 0.1 mg/L. The device operates on a 9V battery. Dimensions are 192 x 102 x 67 mm/7.6€ x 4€ x 2.6€Â(H x W x D), and weighs 290 g/10 oz.
Manganese is one of the most common metals in nature and is used in many industrial applications, including the production of fertilizers and iron and non-iron alloys in steel manufacturing. Manganese photometers are used by manufacturers, researchers, and individuals to measure the manganese content in water and wastewater.
Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standards.
