HKK BS06BCHL1 ISO 06B Single Strand British Standard Connecting Offset Link, Riveted, 3/8" Pitch, 0.250" Roller Diameter, 0.225" Roller Width (Pack of 5 links)
This HKK carbon steel single-strand riveted British Standard connecting offset link is suitable for use in assembling single-strand roller chains, and provides the option of creating a chain consisting of an odd number of links. The offset link's solid rollers and bushings are cold-forged from steel rod, and its link plates, rollers and bushings are shot peened for added fatigue resistance. This HKK connecting offset link meets British Standards Institution BS 228, International Standards Organization (ISO) 606, and Deutsches Institut fur Normung (DIN) 8187 standards for quality assurance, and is suitable for use where the roller chain is not subject to on-and-off operation, heavy impact loads, or high-speed driving, such as bucket elevators.
Roller chains are commonly used as a power transmission component and are composed of four parts: plate, roller, bushing, and pin. A series of cylindrical rollers are held together by side links, which fit together into a toothed wheel called a sprocket. Connecting links are used to join the two ends of the chain together to form a loop. Roller chains range from simple, mechanical drives such as bicycle chains, to complex power transmission products that drive conveyors and other industrial machinery, such as printing presses and farm equipment.
HKK manufactures roller chains for use in agriculture, material handling, mining, construction, and manufacturing. The company, founded in 1916 and headquartered in Pine Brook, NJ, meets the standards of the British Standards Institution (BSI), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) for quality assurance.
