Goodyear EP Gemini Twin Line Red and Green Rubber Welding Hose Assembly, 1/4" UNF Connection, 200 PSI Maximum Pressure, 50' Length, 1/4" ID
The Goodyear Engineered Products Gemini Grade T Twin Line rubber welding hose assembly is suitable for welding service, meets RMA IP-7 and CGA E-1 standards for Grade T welding hose, and consists of tubes made of Wingprene (chloroprene) for resistance to oil and flame; and green and red covers made of Chemivic (Buna-N-vinyl) for resistance to oil, abrasion, and ozone. This hose assembly has a spiral synthetic yarn reinforcement that provides the strength necessary for its maximum pressure rating of 200 psi. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to +120 degrees F (-40 to +49 degrees C), and comes equipped with two factory-installed brass female Unified Fine Thread (UNF) threaded couplings. This hose assembly is suitable for a wide range industrial and manufacturing gas-type welding applications.
Industrial hoses and hose assemblies transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses or hose assemblies, use the STAMPED method to help determine the type of hose needed:
S= Size (ID, OD, and length)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses and hose assemblies are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.
T= Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported)
A= Application (industry or process)
M= Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration)
P= Pressure (maximum working pressure)
E= Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose)
D= Delivery method (volume and velocity)
