Goodfet42
The GoodFET is an open source JTAG adapter, loosely based upon the TI MSP430 FET UIF and EZ430U boards. It supports communicating with embedded devices and integrated circuits over a number of different protocols including various standard and vendor-proprietary versions of SPI and JTAG. Additionally, users can extend the codebase to support additional protocols. Client side communicating is done using a Python library, and pre-written clients for common functions (dumping flash, etc) are already written. In addition to JTAG, the GoodFET has been inspired by Hackaday's Bus Pirate to become a universal serial bus interface. A handy tool for advanced microcontroller work, especially for MSP430 fans who want their own JTAG debugger for everyday use. Comes as a fully assembled and tested board.
