Goodbye Again / O.S.T.
Whilst the film Goodbye Again was largely a vehicle for Ingrid Bergman, Anthony Perkins and Yves Montand, the soundtrack also featured stellar names in Diahann Carroll and Ferrante and Teicher. The soundtrack was written by Georges Auric and Dory Langdon, with the main theme being based on a Brahms melody, although given something of a jazz feel. It is no surprise that shortly after scoring Goodbye Again, Auric should accept an invitation to become artistic director of the Paris Opera.
