Good Life Remote USB Blood Glucose Monitoring System with 250 Test Strips & 30G Lancets
To be confident one is buying a useful product, one should compare manufacturer specifications. True results indicate some devices require more than 5 seconds time, and/or more than 0.005cc blood per measurement. However, most important spec is the accuracy of the measurements. With no confidence in measurement accuracy, not only all the money, time, pain and blood were wasted, but more importantly too low, too high or undeterminable results will be provided for analysis and medications. As a result of inaccuracy in measurements, lack of medication, improper amount of medication and/or unnecessary medication can be expected. To obtain more confidence in measurements, one should at least make two consecutive measurements of fresh blood each time. If the two results show more than 10% variations, additional measurements are needed until average measurement with better than 10% variation is achieved., if the measurement is only done once, the next measurement may not be the same although blood sugar levels do not change 10% in one or two minutes. It is best to obtain 2 or more measurements results to be aware of measurement variations. AC-300 software helps you and your doctor to know the measurements average and variations. Reasons for the measurements variations may include but not to: the amount of fresh blood, cleansings of hand/fingers, lancet apparatus, test strips, conditions mentioned below and others. One should be aware that such large variations may exist in each measurement and to gain confidence in true results. One needs to measure two or more times until no more then 10% variations in consecutive measurements are recorded.
