More than 25 years ago James Alan Shelton designed and began to produce guitar, banjo and mandolin straps in his shop in Gate City, Virginia. Those straps were made one at time by hand and set a new standard of function and quality for a select group of professional musicians. Along the way, James became the lead guitar man with Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys and the waiting time for straps grew ever-longer. The Golden Gate Shelton Series retains all of the design features that made these straps legendary among top musicians and are now available to everyone.
