Go the Distance (Darkness Reigns Book 2)
We look at our world today as a place that is stable, secure, and unchanging. Nevertheless, the truth of the matter is that it is a world in flux and nothing we see today can exist passed a set point in time. Our Sun is far from stable and is in fact, a variable star that goes through a number of cycles as it travel across the vastness of time and space. Because of this fact, we must consider at some point that a major change or event could take place to reduce our civilization to a point that most of us will not survive.
As the darkness reigns, humankind must “Go the Distance†to survive.
That is the basis of our story.
Author Donald Franck brings you the continuing story of a small community trying to survive the ravages of Taker hordes while finding refuse within the Missouri Ozark Mountains.
A peek inside of Go the Distance:
It seemed like forever, but it was only eight months ago when the world was suddenly thrust into a devastating chain of events that left the fragile shell of humanity scrambling to survive. In addition, in one small area of the southern United States, the fragile social order within the Ozark Mountains of Missouri stepped backwards over hundred years as electricity, computers, and modern vehicles all disappeared from the landscape forever. Here lays the tale that was to chronicle the events of that the terrible spring and summer which were revealed prior to this. As a handful of individuals struggled to carve out a new way of life from hard rocky soil of Missouri. And in doing so, gave hope and inspiration to others at a time when it was greatly needed. Even so, there were still dark forces at work as the darkness reigns.
