The nine-ply mahogany and walnut through-neck construction form a unified neck and body core for unparalleled strength and enhanced sustain. Two mahogany €œwings€ complete the iconic €œreverse-body€ styling. The slim Firebird neck profile is fast and comfortable, and the bound rosewood fingerboard carries 22 frets undercut over the vintage-cream binding, traditional trapezoid inlays, and a 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret.
Gibson€s two Firebird mini-humbuckers generate a bright, yet powerful, tone that takes you from twang and jangle to all out crunch and scream. They€re wired through the traditional complement of independent volume and tone controls, and a three-way selector switch.
A chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece anchor it all down for outstanding resonance and sustain. Steinberger gearless tuners provide highly efficient tuning while preserving the headstock€s stylish lines. A white pickguard with Firebird graphic, black top-hat knobs with silver inserts, and a black truss-rod cover with Gibson logo complete the package.
