Tornavalanche like to party. Much like the sweeping force of nature from which they derived their name, the Chicago/Milwaukee rockers roar onto the scene with the single-minded drive to tear shit up. Tornavalanche's stripped-down raw power approach to rock'n'roll has been making ripples across the Midwest, and the band has shared the stage with the likes of Murder By Death and Modern Radio labelmates STNNNG.

Back in 2006, the all-star five-piece--comprised of members of Ten Grand (Iowa City) and Forstella Ford (Milwaukee)--made their recording debut with a Modern Radio/Exotic Fever split 7" with Tight Phantomz. Now they're back, with Get Rich or Cry Trying, a 12" EP also put out in conjunction with Washington D.C.'s Exotic Fever Records. This is a limited pressing of 300. And coming sometime this Summer, Tornavalanche will be hitting the road in support of Get Rich or Cry Trying. So Midwesterners, secure your beer stores and lock up your daughters. If Iggy Pop had a yearly backyard BBQ, this is the band he would want playing it.
