Highly detailed 1/150 scale assembly model kit of the World War II era Type IX U-boat of the German Kriegsmarine ("War Navy"). The Type IX U-boat was derived from the Type IA U-Boat with improved range for sustained deployments. Famous U-Boat aces such as G?nther Hessler (Commander, U-107) and Reinhard Hardegen (Commander, U-123) carried out their most successful missions in Type IXB U-Boats. This 1/50 scale kit can be built as a static display model or a motorized, diving submarine, and the kit include a RE-280 electric motor and lead weights for the hull for the diving version. A simple display stand with nameplate is included for the static version.
