GL301 - GS Audio RCA Noise Filter
The Ground Loop Isolator helps eliminate noise caused by ground loops, without affecting the audio quality. Ground Loops occur in a system when you install two or more audio components that connect to ground at different locations in your vehicle or in your house's wiring system. Because the ground-carrying lines are not perfect conductors, different ground points can have a voltage potential between them. This causes current to flow through your audio system's interconnect wiring, causing noise to enter your system. Your ground loop isolator blocks these currents.
This Ground loop isolator is ideal for use either in your vehicle's or our home's audio system. In our automobile, the ground loop isolator helps to eliminate engine and alternator noise. In your home, the ground loop isolator can help to get rid of electrical line noise (hum).
The GL301eliminates ground loops from the source pre-amp outputs and reduces engine noise and DC current through the RCA cables. The GL301 uses an audio transformer for ground loop isolation, providing a 1.3dB gain and 0.5DB linearity from 20-20,000Hz
The GL301 is directional. The inputs are the male RCA plugs and the outputs are the female RCA jacks. Insure that the source unit (Stereo, EQ, etc.) is connected to the inputs of the GL301. Connect the brown wires to ground only if there is no sound out of the amplifier. Connect them both to the source
