Fundamentals of Zooarchaeology in Japan
This is one of the most fundamental and basic handbooks from the Asia-Pacific region for the identification of the excavated faunal remains. The book focuses on recent developments in identification techniques. It will be of interest to archaeologists, as well as students of zoology and paleontology, and other researchers in the field. Illustrations of important species and bone elements are included for systematic and comprehensive comparison. Much of the book is based on lectures on zooarchaeology or physical anthrolopology at the Asia/Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO.
