Nutmeg Cranapple
Ingredients:
½ cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1 apple, thinly sliced
¼ lemon, sliced
1 pinch of ground nutmeg
Directions:
Put the cranberry and lemon into a one-quart glass jar and muddle them just enough to start releasing the juices, but not enough to mash them. Add the apple slices without muddling them. Toss the nutmeg into the jar.
If you plan to drink all or most of the fruit water within the next five hours, fill the jar halfway with ice and then top the jar off with cold drinking water. If you’re planning to store the water for longer than five hours before drinking it, fill the jar three-quarters full of ice before topping it off with water.
Stir with a chopstick or long spoon and put a lid on the jar.
Stick the jar in the fridge to chill, preferably for at least three hours.
Strain the water before serving.
