From The beginning to the End: Al-Bidayah wa'an-Nihayah

Imamuddin Abu Al-Fida Isma'il ibn Umar ibn Kathir (ra), known more popularly as Imam Ibn Kathir has written quite a number of books, Al-Bidayah wa An-Niyayah is one of them. It is a large work on history. It begins before anything existed besides Allah and describes how the creation of the past people, or Ummah of the past, throwing ample light on the lives of the Prophets (Alyhi wa Sallam) from Sayyidna Aadam (Alyhi wa Sallam) to Muhammad (Sallallahu Alyhi wa Sallam).
