This ozone generator solves several problems associated with traditional shock treatment ozone generators. 1) The ozone plate is easy to remove and clean. Others cement wires onto their ozone plates and if they come loose, huge fire hazard. 2) Open air design. The more air that comes in contact with the ozone plate, and the less heat from being inside a small enclosure, the more ozone production. Our transformers sit sideways to allow adequate ventilation, others sit flat and heat builds up damaging the transformer and causing a fire risk. 3) No moving parts. High ozone levels make on-off switches and timers fail within a year if you use it every day. Not an issue with this unit. 4) Compact size. This unit is only 6" x 2.5" x 2.5" plus the plate that sticks up 4". It comes with an L bracket so you can mount it if you so desire, or hook the L bracket inside of a grill. This unit also comes with a 3 prong grounded power cord and has a red "on" indicator light. We back this machine (not the plate, how long that lasts will depend on how you use it, lasts longer if used indoors in humidity under 50% - years, about 6000 hours) Most ozone generators feature a 80-100 CFM fan that isn't strong enough to "churn" the air and bring air in contact with the ozone plate. It just creates a cloud of ozone near the machine. We recommend you attach this ozone generator to a 20" box fan (cost around $20) that moves a whopping 3000 CFM and is capable of churning the air and bringing the air near the roof down to the ozone plate to create ozone. You can also attach it to a window AC unit or a window fan that draws air in from the outside. This unit will create shock treatment levels of ozone in areas up to 1000 sq ft to permanently remove odors, sanitize, kill mold, kill dust mites, kill viruses and bacteria, and leave the air smelling spring fresh and allergen free.
