Foot Soldiers Armed with Love: Heartbeat International's First 40+ Years

Margaret H. (Peggy) Hartshorn, Ph.D., became involved in the pro-life movement soon after the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade on January 22, 1973. When she and her husband Mike began housing pregnant girls in their home in 1975, little did she know that it was the Compassion arm of the pro-life movement that would capture their hearts and become their caling. As she has advanced its worldwide missioto Reach and Rescue as many lives as possible from abortion through an effective network of community-based pregnancy help ministries that build a Culture of Life, she has been inspired by its thousands of foot soldiers armed with LOVE.
