Fluke 360 Leakage Current Clamp-Meter, 1 Microampere to 60A AC, Conductors to 40mm
The Fluke 360 current leakage clamp-meter is an average-sensing, auto-ranging digital meter for measuring leakage AC (alternating current) from 1μA to 60A; to check the condition of conductor insulation in electrical testing applications. The clamp has two jaws that can close around an electrical conductor up to 40mm (1.5 inches) in diameter to measure current without touching or interrupting the circuit. Enhanced shielding in the jaws minimizes interference from nearby current conductors and external magnetic fields to provide accurate measurements. The meter has a 3,200-count LCD that shows the reading numerically and in a 32-segment bar graph. To aid documentation of readings and capture readings in tight spaces, the data hold function keeps the reading on the display after disconnecting from the circuit. The unit operates on a single 3V CR2032 battery, and turns off automatically after ten minutes of non-use to conserve battery life. A warning beeper sounds 15 seconds before shutdown, and a low-battery indicator signals when the battery needs to be replaced.
This average-sensing, also called average-responding or mean value, meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear loads, such as standard induction motors and incandescent lights, where the current or voltage has a sinusoidal waveform. Accuracy and resolution specifications vary according to the range being measured. It is auto-ranging, so it automatically selects the appropriate operating range for the property being measured. The meter meets EN (European Standards) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) safety standards 61010-1 and 61010-2-032 (pollution degree 2), and is rated for CAT (category) III installations up to 300V, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. It has CE (European Conformity) marking, and meets safety standard VDE0404-4 and VDE0702 for leakage current and differential current measurement of electrical appliances. The unit comes with a soft carrying case.

Clamp-meters, also called clamp-on meters, have two jaws that fit around a conductor to measure electrical current without cutting through wires, or touching or interrupting the electrical circuit.
