She struggles in growing up with her much younger prodigy brother, Isaac. But, ultimately, Rose will learn that nothing can replace the bond she shares with him. ~Keep Them Talking by Craig Shafer (2 M, comedy-drama) Kip and Rocky are best friends and paramedics together on the graveyard shift. On a single shift, while responding to calls both hilarious and touching, their lives will both be changed forever after long-held secrets are shared. ~Painting Fires by Cole Sutterland (1 F, drama) It is said that art reflects life, but what happens when the line between reality and fantasy is ever so gently blurred? The Painter, the unnamed female protagonist, discusses her life with passers-by at a sidewalk art festival. Also featured in this collection are two poems by Carl Sasoon, "Mortgage" and "The Inflatable Ship."
