FAKRO LWF 66828 Fire Resistant Attic Ladder for 22-Inch x 47-Inch Rough Openings

The FAKRO LWF fire-resistant attic ladder offers an easy access to the attic at the same time performing the function of a blaze block in case of a fire inside of the building. This version of the LWF (model 66828) fits into rough openings measuring 22 x 47 Inch and is designed for ceiling heights between 7 feet, 2 Inch and 8 feet, 10 Inch. Manufactured with fireproof materials, the inner part of the ladder frame is equipped with a gasket that expands under extreme heat, guaranteeing tightness during fire that also prevents smoke from entering higher floors. The LWF ladder is fire resistant at EI2 30 minutes. The 1-5/8-inch thick insulated wooden door also helps reduce energy costs by preventing heat loss, thanks to its R-Value of 5.2. The ladder and box frame are constructed of high-quality pine and the hatch's unique opening mechanism ensures the ladder opens slowly. Once fully open, the mechanism will hold the hatch in position to prevent it from slamming shut. The ladder comes in three sections and the ladder steps feature grooves cut into the step surface to prevent accidental slippage. This ladder has a maximum user weight of 300 pounds and an optional red metal handrail can be installed on either side of the ladder to increase safety and comfort. An opening rod is included.
