Explorers & Pirates Expansion for Settlers of Catan Game Board Game

Catan EXPLORERS & PIRATES is a new expansion game to add more excitement and more adventure to your Settlers of Catan Game. Explorers and Pirates CANNOT be played as a stand alone game.

Explores & Pirates includes 5 novel scenarios, each of which builds upon your previous experience. All are easy to learn and rich in character. In each you explore an unknown sea by ship and build settlements on the discovered islands. Scenario 1 ("Land Ho!") introduces you to harbor settlements, shipbuilding, exploration and overseas settlement -- the most important basic rules of this expansion. Each subsequent scenario introduces a new mission and its simple new rules.

Recommended for ages 12 and older. For 2 to 4 players while using Settlers of Catan starter game in combination.

Set contains: 16, harbor settlements, 36 crew, 12 ships, 8 settlers, 4 pirate ships, 6 pirates lair tokens, 6 shoals of fish, 24 spice sacks, 76 gold coins, 6 gold fields, 6 fish hexes, 6 spice hexes, 12 standard terrain hexes, 15 border sections, 12 numbered markers, 3 mission cards, 3 victory point cards, and 4 new building cost cards. There are 76 new custom wooden game parts in 4 colors among the previously mentioned game parts.
