Evercut Multipurpose Knife 8-inch / 20 cm Blade with Case

EVERCUT technology is the result of 5 years' research and development with TB's engineers (Tarrerias-Bonjean is the French leading cutlery manufacturer) and European University researchers. The EVERCUT knife is a real revolution in cutlery segment. This technological innovation is achieved by a state-of-the-art laser beam (with a temperature above 4000° celsius), fusing an ultra-hard material : titanium carbide, onto the edge of a steel blade. The result is a combination of steel's strength and flexibility with an extremely hard cutting edge. EVERCUT cutting abilities last more than 300 times longer than conventional steel blades and up to 5 times longer than the benchmark ceramic blade (but without being fragile). These tests were certified by CATRA (an independent British laboratory). For household use, this means the knife can hold its edge 25 years without sharpening, further more the cutting edge is lifetime guaranteed. EVERCUT won the "Kitchen Innovation of the Year" Award at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt in 2010 and the "European Consumer's choice" in 2011.
