Eppendorf 022620596 5430 Microcentrifuge with Knob Control without Rotor, 120 V/60 Hz

The Eppendorf 5430 Microcentrifuge has 17,500 rotations per minute (rpm) maximum speed, relative centrifugal force (rcf) of 30,130 x g, an LCD display in a choice of four languages, a rotary knob control; can accommodate eight rotors (sold separately) in 30 positions, and works with an 120V/60Hz power supply. A microcentrifuge is used by medical and industrial researchers to spin fluids of different densities and to separate various parts such as DNA/RNA, proteins, and other samples in molecular and cell biology labs. The Eppendorf 5430 Microcentrifuge is compatible with eight interchangeable rotors (sold separately), can accommodate up to thirty 1.5/2.0mL tubes, including three aerosol-tight rotors, six 50mL conical tubes, two microtiter plates (MTP), and blood collection tubes, has a backlit LCD that displays a menu guide and parameters in a choice of English, German, French, or Spanish. This air-cooled microcentrifuge has a compact, benchtop body, and rotary knobs for versatile operation. It stores up to 50 programs, and has five programmable keys for rapid access to routine programs. A centrifuge is used to spin fluids of different densities to separate various parts, commonly blood and DNA samples. Centrifuges are composed of the main body or housing and a spinning rotor. Tubes of cellular material suspended in liquid are inserted into the rotor and spun at various speeds to separate components. Centrifuges are used in medical, industrial, and research laboratories, as well as academic and clinical settings. H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Eppendorf manufactures instruments for cell manipulation, and automated devices for liquid handling, for use in life science research laboratories. The company was founded in Hamburg, Germany in 1945, and has its headquarters there.
