The Carolingian era marks an important moment regarding the history
of early Medieval Latin lyrical poetry and music. The results of the
revival of this culture are represented in the manuscript Lat 1154, now
located in Paris. Written at the end of the ninth century, the collection
of cantos on this CD represents this rich repertoire.
