The Emmrod Packrod® Cast was specifically designed for fishing from a sitting position.  Much of the fishing from kayaks, canoes, tubes and smaller boats is from the sitting position.  The Packrod® has a very short handle so that casting and reeling can be accomplished with the anglers arms & pole closer to the body without the handle digging into or bumping the anglers body. Anglers love these because they are so compact and yet effective. The Packrod® is one of Emmrod's smallest rigs making it an excellent choice for backpacking.
