Elite Force USAF F-16C Fighting Falcon ''Operation Enduring Freedom'' 2001 - Limited Edition
Collectors will be proud to display this Limited Edition reproduction of the USAF F-16C Fighting Falcon ''Operation Enduring Freedom'' 2001. The US Air Force's first multi-role, compact fighter aircraft has proved itself in both air-to-air and air-to-surface attacks. Since September 11, 2001, the highly maneuverable Fighting Falcon has been a major factor in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In addition to its use in combat, the F-16C is the aircraft of choice of the USAF Thunderbirds. This ultra-detailed 1:18 scale model from the bbi Elite Force Historical Collection is authentic in every detail, down to the insignia for the 389th Fighter Squadron known as the Thunderbolts. The aircraft's nose art depicts a NYC firefighter handing the American flag to an airman who is saying, ''We'll Take It From Here.'' The canopy opens to reveal a detailed cockpit interior and removable pilot seat. The Fighting Falcon comes with a removable USAF Pilot action figure and a boarding ladder. Functional, retractable landing gear adds to the realistic effect. The snap-together model comes with two Sparrow air-to-air missiles, two clusters of three bombs each and two Sidewinder missiles. Measures 37''L x 24''W x 11.5''H. The wings can be removed for transport or display. The snap-together model can be assembled in approximately 15 minutes. Recommended for ages 14 and up. Produced under license from the Lockheed Martin Company. The bbi Elite Force Historical Collection offers exceptionally fine and accurate model aircraft and vehicles used in military operations both past and present.
