DD322EA Simple is a desiccant dehumidifier designed for domestic and office use. It protects your home and office by controlling your indoor humidity to help control bacteria from thriving. High humidity in the air causes bacteria to breed resulting in mold and mildew which aggravate breathing difficulties and allergies. The DD322EA Simple extracts up to 21 pints/day (68°F, 60%RH) very efficiently. The purpose of a dehumidifier is to remove the excess moisture in the air by detecting the humidity level in the room. By keeping humidity within recommended levels, a dehumidifier combats household damp, mold and mildew. It can help to reduce the symptoms of asthma and allergies. It helps to dry laundry indoors and control moisture-based damage (such as the aftermath of flooding, leaks or rising damp) to valuable belongings and furniture.
The DD322EA Simple is controlled via an easy to use Rotary Dial to control Power Off, humidity at Low, Medium, High, and Laundry settings. With two indicator lights one for trouble shooting and another for full tank alert. This model has powerful laundry mode with turbo and saving modes with built-in auto sensor ensuring humidity level is under control depending on the mode selected. DD322EA Simple will help to control the humidity to a comfortable level. The DD322EA Simple is equipped with the Tilt over safety protection where it will power off when the unit tilts over to avoid hazard. It also has an Auto-Restart function, which enables the dehumidifier to switch back on in case of a power cut during operation. It will switch back on to the setting it was last in use before the power cut.
The warmer the air, the more moisture the air can hold than colder air. The air expelled from the DD322EA Simple is about 44°F warmer than the ambient air, this air is warm dry air, which is much quicker to heat up or cool, this in turn results in energy saving when you need to heat or cool the room to a desired temperature level. Desiccant dehumidifiers will emit a desiccant smell during the initial use, this is normal and harmless and it should go away after a week or two.
You may wish to run your DD322EA Simple with a hose attached so that there is no need to empty the water tank. A hose (one meter length of 7/16€ diameter) is provided with your DD322EA Simple. You need to remove the rubber plug at the back of the dehumidifier and pass the hose through from the back to the front and connect to the water tank. This will enable the water to drip through the hose to a drain or sink. Do keep the rubber plug in a safe place in case you need to use the water tank in future as you will need to put the rubber plug back on.
The DD322EA Simple has a 7.4 pints (3.5 Litre) tank. The tank is positioned at the bottom front of the dehumidifier like a drawer. This is designed as such so that there is no need to move the dehumidifier when removing the tank to empty. There is a lid covering the tank to avoid spillage and a carry handle for ease of carrying. To empty the tank, remove the lid as you would do with a food container and once tank is emptied, replace the lid with the carry handle positioned through the hole and folded down before inserting into the dehumidifier.
