1. Please do not connect this unit to your PC until the application software has been installed.
2. This audio adapter's SPDIF optical pass-through port supports two-channel audio, the SPDIF port does not support 5.1 or 7.1 audio.
3. If you want to get 7.1 surround audio, please make sure the audio source, audio player/ video player and your speaker supports 7.1 surround audio.
4. This item was designed to accommodate common headsets which has a 3.5mm TRS headphone- and 3.5mm TRS microphone jack. XLR based microphones (even if adapted / converter to a different interface) will not work with this audio adapter. 48V of additional Phantom Power is needed to make this work. The audio adapter does not provide Phantom Power.
