This E.R. Wagner Americaster series rigid plate caster has a polyurethane on polyolefin wheel, a flat base with holes for bolting or welding to an object, and a rigid design to allow movement in a back-and-forth motion. The caster's wheel consists of a dark blue polyurethane tread molded to a light gray polyolefin core. The wheel rolls with ease, provides quiet operation, resists abrasion and impact, and protects floors, and it is suitable for bearing light to heavy loads on carpeted and hard-surfaced floors. The medium-soft polyurethane tread is non-marking and resistant to water, oil, and most acids. The wheel has a recommended operating temperature range of -20 to 180 degrees F and a tread hardness of 50 to 60 Shore D. The POM (polyoxymethylene) bearing provides durability and corrosion resistance, and reduces the need for oil lubrication. The caster's flat base has a zinc-plated finish to help resist corrosion. This caster meets the certification standards of NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation) for casters and wheels in the food service and sanitary industries.
Plate casters are wheeled mechanisms used to support and maneuver objects such as carts, racks, and dollies.
