DC47 Animal is a new compact Dyson Ball canister vacuum cleaner. DC47 Animal has Ball technology. The ball houses many of the major vacuum components: motor, polycarbonate air ducts and a 16.4 ft. cable. 2 Tier Radial cyclones Dyson has been continually refining cyclone vacuum technology since inventing it more than 20 years ago. DC47 Animal has new 2 Tier Radial cyclones. 32 cyclones working in parallel, across two tiers, generate high centrifugal forces to separate more microscopic dust than any other competitor vacuum. Because more dust is extracted from the airflow there€s no loss of suction. Dirty air enters the outer cyclone and is spun around a vertical axis, generating centrifugal forces that fling larger debris and hair from the airflow into the bin. A shroud within the outer cyclone means it captures more large debris, allowing refinement of the inner cyclones to capture fine dust. The air then passes through the 32 inner cyclones working in parallel. Vortex fingers guide air from inner cyclones reducing turbulence and noise.

Ball technology Dyson Ball canister vacuum cleaners use Ball technology to overcome the steering limitations of fixed wheels and castors. They ride on a ball and, to further improve manoeuvrability, are the only canister vacuums with a central steering mechanism. The ball pivots on the spot and also holds the heaviest component (the motor) €“ positioned towards the base for a lower center of gravity and greater stability. The machine moves easily around obstacles and the ball€s smooth surface means it doesn€t dig into the carpet pile. DC47 Animal has Ball technology and an articulating cuff for more accurate steering.
