A dark farce of a novel, exploring the retirement of the trollish cowboy wannabe, Dwayne Trade. His life unravels with each swig of whisky as he demands his freedom to live, and faces a ceaseless line of assholes and shrews. As hateful as he is philosophically cogent, Dwayne is a hard man to love, and unfortunately is pretty correct about life at the same time.

The novella explores themes of individual freedom, anarchy, the differences between justice and truth, the dangers of preconceptions and the use of the narrative as a form of control.
