Glycerin has a chemical formula of c3h8o3 and regardless of where it comes from, it is exactly the same in every way. The only difference between the two is that traditionally Glycerin comes from animal fats and vegetable Glycerin comes from plants. The chemical is exactly the same regardless of what it is derived from, which is why we use the word Glycerin and vegetable Glycerin interchangeable on our labeling and descriptions. Our Glycerin is derived from soy and so it is considered vegetable Glycerin, or Glycerin of vegetables.
