Drone Pilot Training Certification
The Drone pilot training program consists of three phases. Phase 1 and 2 are conducted at home. Phase three is conducted at one of our flight schools. At the end of the program, students will receive the UAV Pilot Certificate. There is no previous experience required to enroll in this program. We will contact you after payment Phase 1 (At Home) As soon as payment is received, we will ship a simulator to you in the mail. The simulator consists of software and a controller that plugs into the computer USB port. After you install the software you will be able to fly 47 different small UAVs from 6 different sites. Students will receive instruction on both fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. Students will practice unusual attitude recoveries and takeoff and landings. One of our highly qualified instructors will call you and provide instruction on the phone while you are at home. This hands on experience will prepare you for flight with several real small UAVs during your 3 day flight training class. Phase 2 (At Home) Students will complete the UVU Small UAV Ground School which consists of 16 hours of videos Phase 3 (At Flight School) After completion of the home based ground school and simulator training, students will be scheduled for 2 days of basic flight training at one of our flight schools. Students will fly both fixed wing and vertical takeoff (multi-copter, helicopter) small UAVs. Propulsion systems are both electric and gas.
