This Dixon BS848 brass female short shank coupler with swivel nut is suitable for connecting to a male fitting to join two hoses of the same diameter in a straight run. It has a hose barb on one end for connecting to a hose and a female National Pipe Straight Hose (NPSH) threaded connection on the other for connecting to male threaded pipes or fittings. This fitting is made of machined brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. The barbed fitting creates a tight seal on flexible and semi-rigid tubing when used with a hose clamp, crimp sleeve, or ferrule (not included).
