Dementia Clock Day Clock
The Day Cycle Dementia Clock has been developed by the Bath Institute of Medical Engineering and has been designed to help people living with mild or moderate Dementia or Alzheimer's. The design features a simple and clear display showing the DAY of the WEEK and the time period of the day as Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Night. This Clock is ideal, because people living with dementia can lose the ability to distinguish between day and night thereby causing confusion. The Day Cycle Dementia Clock can therefore assist primary caretakers by helping to reduce their patient's confusion. Based on research conducted with Occupational Therapists and caretakers, we have identified that there is a need for a prompt which can provide a clear sense of which part of the day it is. The display can be seen clearly from across the room and the buttons are Tamper-Proof. It is small and discreet and ideal to use alongside conventional clocks and calendars to provide a clear reminder as to what day it is and the time of day.
