This is the second volume in a five volume series: DARKOUT
The Jules Verne III, a deep sea research facility located at the bottom of the Mariana Trench was not meant to be self-contained. It did not bother the residents that the sun went out - it is dark down there anyway. It did bother them that their umbilical to the surface, to emergency aid, coffee beans, and TP was gone. And it was disconcerting when the refugees started showing up... er... down? They were under pressure - 8 tons per square inch of pressure - to survive.
