Cruise Control

The love of his life and their young son die tragically at the hands of a drunken tourist. Only the beauty and tranquility that he now finds sailing the Caribbean Sea allow him to maintain some degree of sanity. But the forces that wish to profit from the Caribbean are also killing her in a slow death. Fortunately, others share his love for the Sea, her creatures, her Islands, and her people. Unfortunately, their reasons differ greatly. Death and destruction now arise on the sea’s horizon.

“Cruise Control” opens in St. Thomas where a broken man is forced into port. He flees south after a violent incident; and encounters an environmental activist and his love, an opportunist, and a true believer in the Sea. Can this small group make a difference in their war with major industries that prey on the Caribbean and her people; the cruise ships, the all-inclusive resorts, the drift-net fisheries, the lionfish invasion, the dolphin encounters (prisons), the crooked ministers, and the indifference and misunderstanding of people? Can they make people react with their attacks and communiqués? Or will they die alone in a watery grave?
