Colder PMCD1704 Acetal Tube Fitting, Coupler, Shutoff, In-Line, 1/8" Flow Coupler x 1/4" Barb
The Colder coupler is made of acetal copolymer plastic and has coupler and barbed connectors. This fitting connects tubing going in the same direction to extend a straight run. It is a fitting with a coupler on one end and barbed construction on the other, and is used for connecting two tubes in an inline configuration. This fitting is made of acetal copolymer plastic, which has low moisture absorption, high tensile and flexural strength, and is hard and fatigue resistant. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 120 pounds per square inch (psi). The operating temperatures range from -40 degrees F to 180 degrees F.
Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Barbed fittings are characterized by the presence of angled barbs that grab and hold on the inner diameter (ID) of a hose. They are designed so that hose is easily mounted over the fitting, but is difficult to remove. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
Colder Products Company manufactures quick-connect couplings, fittings, and connectors for plastic tubing. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in St. Paul, MN.
