Colder LCD10004 Chrome Plated Brass Tube Fitting, Coupler, Shutoff, In-Line, 1/4" Flow Coupler x 1/4" NPT Male
The Colder inline coupler is made of chrome-plated brass and has coupler and NPT male connectors. This shutoff coupler connects fittings going in the same direction to extend a straight run. This coupler connects to tubing on one end and a National Pipe Taper (NPT) male connector on the other. This is a general-purpose coupler with a thumb-latch design for one-handed connection and disconnection. This fitting is made of chrome-plated brass for durability and corrosion resistance. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 250 pounds per square inch (psi). The operating temperatures range from -40 to 180 degrees F.
Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Threaded fittings are used to connect to threaded pipes in a piping system. The rotation of external male, helical threads to internal, female threads creates the connection in a threaded piping system. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
Colder Products Company manufactures quick-connect couplings, fittings, and connectors for plastic tubing. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in St. Paul, MN.
