Cloudlands Memoirs
Cloudland Memoirs is a collection of stories about life in in Papua New Guinea in places that are wild and uncultivated, yet extremely beautiful. Le Fevre and his wife Pat lived and worked in Papua New Guinea on and off since the 1960s. Postings of two years in different locations lead to learning new languages and new customs. They lived in bamboo houses which were well designed to cope with the regular rain and earthquakes. The Le Ferves have experienced and seen a lot in a region that is historically and geographically linked to Australia, whether for its wartime history and the Kokoda track, its politics, or its observations about the resource sector. Cloudland Memoirs has a core theme of the achievements of Papua New Guinean professionals today.
