Circular Wireless CPATCH12 Circularly Polarized 1.2 GHz / 1.3 GHz Patch Antenna for FPV
This Circular Wireless circularly polarized patch antenna is a high gain, right hand circular polarized (RHCP) directional antenna, ideal for use with a 1.2 GHz / 1.3 GHz FPV video receiver for achieving long ranges. With a minimum of 6.8dB of gain, this antenna combined with a Skew Planar Wheel Antenna in the video transmitter offers up to 30 km of FPV range. Supplied with an SMA female connector and a 90-degree angled SMA male-male pigtail, with enough length to connect a video receiver velcroed to the back of the antenna. Size and weight: 130x158x28 mm, 120 grams. Return Loss Parameter: See reflection chart. The CPATCH12 antenna is designed to cover the channels from 1200 to 1330 MHz. The 1360MHz channel can also be used, with a small reduction in performance expected. Directivity: See gain chart. Antenna has a directive radiation pattern, with a maximum gain of 8.6 dB, and a beamwidth of +/- 45 degrees (total beam width of 90 degrees) in the XZ and YZ plane. Opposite Polarization Rejection: See Copolor vs. Crosspolor chart. This is especially important in circular polarization. Put simply: the difference between the copolar component (right hand circular in this case) and crosspolar component (left hand circular) is the attenuation of the captured reflected signal that we want to avoid to reduce multipath. In these antennas cross polar attenuation is greater than 12dB in all cases, which means that the reflected signal will reach the emitter attenuated at least 12dB with respect to the desired signal, which is great to prevent reflected signals from interfering with the direct signal during FPV.
