Checkers Industrial Safety Products Fastlane FL1X1.5-B Polyurethane 1 Channel Drop Over Cable Protector with L-Shaped Connectors, Black, 36" Length, 5.25" Width, 0.75" Height
Fastlane FL1X1.5-B polyurethane 1 channel drop over cable protector with L-shaped connectors is made from black RIM (reaction injection molded), UV-stabilized polyurethane to protect cables, electrical cords, and hoses up to 0.5"/1.27 cm outside diameter (OD) from wear and compression caused by vehicular traffic (up to 2,100 lb./954 kg per axle) while helping to reduce the danger posed by loose cables in the path of pedestrians. Its drop-over design with its single 1.5"/3.81 cm wide channel offers ease of installation and removal, and it provides a low profile at 0.75"/1.9 cm high to reduce the risk of tripping accidents. The cable protector has two L-shaped connectors on each side (two male connectors on one side and two female connectors on the other) for interlocking multiple connectors to extend coverage across wide passages. The surface has a patented five-bar tread pattern for traction, and molded safety symbols that meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z535.3-1991 standards. This cable protector is suitable for use in lightweight vehicle and pedestrian traffic at homes, offices, and warehouses, as well as indoor and outdoor commercial and industrial environments.

Drop over cable protectors (also called cable covers or cord covers) protect cables, electrical cords, and hoses from wear and compression from pedestrian and vehicular traffic. They can also improve pedestrian safety by helping to decrease the risk of tripping over cables crossing paths or aisles. Drop over cable protectors are placed over cables lying on a floor or outdoor surface where people or cars are expected to pass. These protectors are shaped like trapezoids with an opening on the bottom (called the channel) for the cable or cord. Because they are open on the bottom, they are easy to deploy and pick up, but when used on rough surfaces, they do not protect cables from abrasion from below. Cable protectors are designed for use in public, commercial, and industrial applications where cables, cords, and hoses need to extend across an area pedestrians may pass or vehicles might drive over.
